It is a fast-paced environment of new product development that requires continuous improvement and development of new approaches and ways of thinking. I am a point of contact and lead the interactions with the development teams and other supporting functions. I design, commission, interpret data, report scientific studies, assessments and provide technical expertise/support to team members. I facilitate the data and knowledge sharing between teams to avoid work duplication. I support substantiation activities relating to marketing claims packages/claims matrices. I have established the science plan approach for these early discovery stages of the projects to help seamless transition to develop and to aid the interactions with other parts of business. I have driven the discussions of ways of improving the approaches to new material assessment and have taken some of the toxicology assessment activities to become above project to save on cost and workload. I am also closely engaged with platform science.I am an active member of Royal Society of Chemistry. Show less

I manage the training and technical/professional development of scientific staff to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and practical capability to deliver to the required standard and to continue in their development. I drive the structured evaluation of technologies to support proposals for strategic capability development, including preparation of business cases and peer review publications. I am also responsible for appropriate information into Strategic and Operational planning Budget. I explore cutting edge technologies and investigates and recommends opportunities to apply these to research and development challenges. Show less
