In the middle of the economic crises, we launched Algida ice cream in Romania through a strategic activation that took place at the seaside. Algida wanted to own the territory of fun and reach consumers directly to generate trial and awareness for their portfolio. So we created an Algida enjoyment world at the seaside, on both land and water with activities and games that targeted both children (starting 3 y.o.) and adults.Algida Beach started end of June 2009 and we closed it mid September. It was a complex BTL project that involved creative teams from Hungary and Romania, production teams from Germany and project management from both Hungary and Romania. I was part of the core project development and management team in charge with the preparation of the creatives, negotiation of internal and external suppliers, supervising the production of the launch materials (from flyers to the games designed for the beach and water), coordinating a team of 32 people temporarily employed and involved in the activation, management of communication, production, logistics and human resources budgets, realisation of contracts for sanitation, water and electricity supply and obtaining approvals from the authorities for beach rental and usage of water surface, project evaluation and closure.It was the most challenging offline project I had worked on, it taught me discipline and strength to coordinate and bring together so many project elements, including cross-cultural teams, to create a unified and impactful result, delivered on time and within budget.
