Holger Blankenstein is the Executive Vice President of Volaris. He is in charge of Commercial, Digital, Operations, Customer Care, IT and Maintenance areas.Prior to his current role, Blankenstein was the Chief Commercial Officer leading Sales, Marketing, Planning, Itineraries, Revenue Management and Cargo, as well as the IT department. Blankenstein was part of the team that took the airline public in 2013; he has been with Volaris since its inception in 2005. As a founding "Ambassador" he was involved both in setting up and launching the airline. From 2003 to 2005, he was Director of Strategic Development at TACA International Airlines in El Salvador, where he led many key projects such as the integrated airline systems migration, TACA’s maintenance business growth strategy and Volaris' business plan. He began his career as a Bain & Company consultant in 1998 in Munich. Due to his outstanding performance, Blankenstein was transferred to the Sydney office in 2000, where he was involved in financial services, automotive and retail industries. Blankenstein holds an MBA from the University of Iowa and a graduate degree in business and economics from Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. German/Spanish School in Madrid, Spain, Alumni.He is a passionate tennis player and world traveler, fluent in English, Spanish and German.He lives happily married in Mexico, has three children.
