I am a first-year agriculture student with a concentration in agricultural communications at Wilmington College seeking a 2023 summer internship. My interest in agriculture and social media has led me to my major of agricultural communications. I want to bridge the gap of missing information from the farmers to the consumers. I want to fight for these farmers and small businesses and ensure that their problems are heard and their needs are met. I want to be the one to share their stories, struggles, and hopes for the upcoming generations of agriculturalists. Throughout high school I was active in my FFA chapter serving as the growing leaders officer, treasurer, and vice president. I was also tasked with posting our announcements and advertisements on social media for public viewing. For the past 4 years I was also a 4-H camp counselor. Through camp counseling I was able to share my love for the industry as well as instill it in the upcoming generation. Here at college I have joined Aggies Collegiate 4-H and Collegiate Farm Bureau in hopes of strengthening my knowledge of agriculture and allowing me to make connections within the industry.
