I am the CEO & Co-Founder of the Blazing Onion. Lorri & I opened our 1st Blazing Onion in March of '07. The Blazing Onion profiles both a technology driven fast-casual Restaurant as well as our full service Sports & Whiskey Lounges, making us a hybrid in the evolving fast casual segment. Our menu is about all natural fresh local ingredients with recipes made from scratch at each individual location. We currently have eight Blazing Onion's. We have been recognized by QSR magazine as "Ones to Watch" and ranked #25 by Fast Casual magazine in its "Top 100, Mover's and Shakers". I have been a Subway Franchisee since 1997. Subway has gone through incredible growth and endured many hardships and changes, but is currently on a great rebound. Currently I am the Board Chair for the North American Association of Subway Franchisees (NAASF). I hope to help Subway & Franchisees improve communications and be a part of a big company Refresh. I am proud to be a Subway franchisee.In 2022, Lorri & I were approached to become franchisees of Shaq’s new brand, Big Chicken. After tasting the food and meeting the executive team, we decided to add this as a third company and further diversify. They are about fresh, Chef driven, quality & service. We opened our first one in The Landing in Renton WA and have three more in the works.I serve on the Fast Casual Industry Council for the National Restaurant Association. We are a dedicated group of professionals doing our best to learn from every new challenge and pass it forward to other hard working fast casual restaurant business owners. I have been married to my soul mate & business partner for 39 years. We have three wonderful children and four grand children. Life has been very rewarding. Our book has many more chapters to be written.
