Through pro-active aproaches, lean management and streamlining of resources we managed to grow 200% in revenue 2016-2022.My responsibilities include: revenue analysis, client analysis, targeting new clients, visiting clients, presenting the company and our services to potential clients, IT analysis, implementation of new Transportation Management Systems as well as weekly sales meetings with the sales department where we revise the past work and set new targets for the coming week for all of our branches in Slovenia and Croatia.My communication and sales skills are enhanced on a daily basis, since the company mainly works for foreign clients with whom I have to "connect" and communicate in their native language (English,Italian, Croatian, Serbian).Since it's an on going endeavour I would say that the most valuable experience I have learned so far is that everything can be done with the right approach and that if you want to change something you have to have a sound research with clear potential savings and benefits for the organisation.

Vix LTD is a sister company of a medium sized logistics company which acts as a factoring company for subcontractors who want to get an advance/early payment of their invoices.I was responsible for the Slovenian/Croatian/Serbian subcontractors which I had to contact and make arrangements for the purchase of their claims against the logistics company. Each week I had to make reports of clients credit reports and analyse if they are in a state where they might be willing to settle for a discounted immediate payment of their invoices.Learning how to sell factoring services via phone and make people trust you over the telephone line was an essential communication skill that I have learned through this summer internship.Furthermore, my planning skills were greatly developed during this internship, since I had to report to the COO of the logistics company with my target subcontractors and my performance was monitored on an weekly basis.

EU student project called " From Creative Learning to Practical Knowledge" was a EU funded incentive that started in 2014 in Slovenia.The idea behind the project was that a student or a group of students have an idea that could benefit a target industry. After establishing the idea each group had to find a company in the industry that was ready to cooperate on this project and support the idea with their knowledge about the subject.It all started with the fact that when I was working in freight forwarding I was all ways troubled by the complex and non intuitive ways of selling freight to sub-contractors. Therefore, the idea behind the project was to create a freight "market" where the freight forwarders demand for transportation would be met.The project was selected by the University of Ljubljana and was funded with 20.700 euros that would cover the monthly payments for students, university mentors and a mentor in the company that was cooperating.The project was later used as a good practice case for this initiative and was presented at the Electrical & Computer conference in September 2014.

Vies LTD is a 3PL logistics provider based in Slovenia.It's a family owned business with offices in Slovenia and Croatia.The company works for Italian/EU/Ex- Soviet clients for which it gathers LTL (Less than Truckload) shipments from all over Europe, consolidate the shipments at their warehouse and dispatches them to former Soviet or Yugoslav countries on one truck as a groupage shipment.For the first month I have worked there I was working in the warehouse due to the increase of volume in July when the Italian market is at it's peak due to the holidays that come afterwards.My responsibilities included: controlling of documents, verifying documents, setting storage locations and updating the warehouse management system.After the July peak I moved to the offices where I replaced one dispatcher which was on holidays.My responsibilities included: order placements, communicating with clients, planning and scheduling of trucks.
