What do I do? I connect. I bring people together - to share stories, to collaborate in the pursuit of achieving a shared goal or vision, and to make a difference in the lives of others.The thread that runs through my entire career is one of storytelling. From my beginnings in broadcast television at Global BC and CBC, to independent film and TV production, to public relations in the not-for-profit sector, I have helped my clients tell their stories for 33 years.As the Executive Director of Dan's Legacy, I want to change the conversation around substance abuse and dispel the stigma associated with addiction. Currently we see our community and government leaders focusing on harm reduction in the battle to contain the opioid crisis. I propose we put our efforts and resources into prevention, with the ultimate goal of abstinence, if we are ever going to make a difference and save lives.
