The New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD) is the nation’s largest municipal housing preservation and development agency with a mission to promote and support quality housing through enforcement, education preservation, and development programs. ****Guided city-owned, multi-family residential buildings through rehabilitation, cooperative conversion, and construction to permanent loan conversion to create affordable dwelling units for New York City residents. • Determined the financial feasibility of proposed projects and loan terms through developing pro formas, performing financial affordability analysis and offering recommendations related to development budgets. • Interfaced with tenants, housing developers, financial institutions, and other city government agencies to identify and resolve problems that will allow affordable housing development projects to move forward. • Represented HPD’s Property Disposition and Finance Division by purveying information, and specific project details to tenants, local community boards, and council members.
