As an advisor for Horizon Europe and H2020 R&I projects through the Horizon Standardization Booster, I help transform research results into impactful standards. My role involves providing expert guidance to ensure that innovative research can be effectively translated into marketable solutions and standards.Most recently, I have supported three EU projects:FLEXnCONFU: a project that aims to develop and demonstrate innovative, economically viable, and replicable power-to-X-to-power solutions. These solutions convert electricity into hydrogen or ammonia, which can then be reused in power plants to enhance flexibility and reduce environmental impact.RAWMINA: a project focusing on developing an integrated, innovative pilot system for the recovery of critical raw materials from mine waste. The goal is to establish a sustainable and efficient process for extracting essential materials, thereby addressing the EU’s challenge of securing a reliable supply of critical raw materials.PROPLANET: a project that aims to develop advanced, safe, and sustainable coatings for various applications. These include hydrophobic/oleophobic bio-based coatings for technical textiles, non-stick and anticorrosion hybrid siloxane coatings for food packaging machinery, and anti-soiling and anti-reflecting hybrid siloxane coatings for low-maintenance glass.

As a technical secretary, I coordinate the efforts of several European technical committees, including those focused on thermal energy meters, plastics, and sustainable production of raw materials from mining related activities. Additionally, I oversee multiple working groups within district heating and cooling. My role involves facilitating collaboration and ensuring the smooth operation of these committees and working groups.I work closely with mandates from the European Commission to develop and maintain harmonized standards related to the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) and the EU Plastics Strategy (M/584). These initiatives are crucial for ensuring a sustainable future for Europe. My commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability is reflected in my work, driving progress and setting high standards across various sectors.

As committee manager for the ISO subcommittee on environmental aspects of packaging and the working group on paper bags and paper sacks, I oversee the development and implementation of standards that promote sustainability in packaging. My role involves coordinating efforts to ensure that packaging solutions are environmentally friendly and meet global sustainability goals.Previously, I was responsible for general technical delivery conditions, sampling and mechanical testing methods for steel, and materials and properties for design regarding cast and pig irons. This experience has equipped me with a strong technical background and a comprehensive understanding of material science.In addition to my current responsibilities, I support ISO in various initiatives, including the latest ISO policy brief on combating plastics pollution. My work is dedicated to fostering innovation and sustainability, contributing to a more sustainable future through the development of rigorous and impactful standards.
