Since 2008 I have been involved in advising banks, trustees, leasing companies and companies on financing issues, bankruptcies, lease applications and complex issues related to machinery, assets, stocks and intellectual property. In this period I was engaged with the most specialized companies in the Netherlands and since 2022 I’m the director of TWA B.V. The court regularly appoints me as a court expert in complex valuation issues. Based on my capacity and years of experience as an insolvency specialist in optimizing the value of assets, I am regularly involved in unwinding processes of production and trading companies. In such cases, it is often not the case that the liquidation value is the underlying value of the asset, but that a much better result can be achieved in the optimization and mix of sales methods. I act as an advising and executive manager/consultant to achieve the optimal value in the process, by completing production phases, private sales and then a thorough closing sale of the whole set of assets. With the advent of the WHOA, I have also specialized in the determination of the liquidation value in a broader perspective than just the valuation of the liquidation value, our reports contribute greatly to a broader understanding of the value development of assets, both tangible and intangible (IP and other soft intellectual property rights, in conjunction with the other assets) in certain scenario’s that could arise in such cases.As far as stocks are concerned, I make audits for clients, where all relevant parameters with regard to the value and securities of our clients are mapped out, including the various elaboration of scenarios to arrive at an optimal valuation. Knowledge in these fields provides the best input for my clients to be able to make their decisions, this not only concerns the valuation of an object itself, but also the extra step to inform our clients further than just about the value and take the right actions or decisions once needed. We see ourselves as problem solvers, based on the advice we give. We don’t only give the advise but stand for it and also act once our client asks us to implement our advise and unwinding scenario. In this capacity, I have been able to assist various large and interested parties with financing applications, sales processes and insolvency situations in the Netherlands and Europe, including all major Dutch Bank, international financing syndicates, trustees and Courts. To safeguard my knowledge, I'm a member of the Federation of Valuers of Movable Assets (TMV).
