My primary role centered around leading the implementation of the project "Kasali Kami: Youth Voices for Disability Inclusion," which is a collaborative endeavor between Project Inclusion Network, the KASALI Tayo, and the US Embassy in the Philippines. The overarching objective is to strengthen, synergize, and share the voices of youth with disabilities across various regions within the Philippines.

Remote Work

In this 2-month internship, I had an opportunity to conduct action plan research. It aimed to assist the organization on the possible policy reforms for the betterment of the welfare of their employees as well as to aid them in the preparation of the compliance for a wider range of funding bodies. This opportunity taught me to adapt and adjust to the organization’s employees who also treated me as if I’m one of their real colleagues. It also flourished my knowledge about how non-government organizations are being driven by their goals and how they are making ends meet in making long term changes for their beneficiaries. Also, what ignited a more collaborative and cohesive outcome in this internship of mine is our common niche which is the advocacy for persons with disability like me.
