With my team, I have successfully raised over $7,000 in funds, which has been instrumental in supporting our initiatives.I am proud to have organized over 10 sustainable project designs, each specifically focusing on addressing critical issues. Some of these projects include TechUpRuralGirls, Educate a Child, Digital Education Training, One Book for a Child, End to Teenage Pregnancy, Skill2Rural, End to Drug/Substances Abuse, and Feed-A-Friend on the Streets. Through these initiatives, we have positively impacted the lives of over 20,000 adolescents and youths in Nigeria.One of the significant achievements of these projects is a 15% increase in children's enrollment in school. This outcome demonstrates the effectiveness and relevance of our efforts in promoting education and empowering young individuals.I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead these initiatives and work towards creating positive change in our community. In my role as a Union Councillor, I have been deeply involved in formulating and implementing policies that promote inclusivity and unity within our community at Sussex University.One of the key policy initiatives I supported was creating an enabling environment for international students to navigate their adaptation to the school upon arrival. Recognising the challenges that international students face when transitioning to a new academic and cultural environment, I worked collaboratively with fellow councillors to develop policies aimed at providing comprehensive support and resources for international students.Additionally, I am currently championing policies aimed at promoting the holistic development and advancement of Black students, lecturers, and scholars within our community. This involved advocating for increased representation and visibility of Black voices in academic and administrative spaces, as well as promoting initiatives to address systemic barriers and inequalities faced by Black students and faculty members. By championing policies prioritising diversity, equity, and inclusion, I am committed to fostering a more equitable and supportive environment for all members of our university community.

As an international student representative, I fulfil a vital role in my educational institution. My primary functions include advocating for the needs and concerns of international students and offering support and guidance. I will also promote cultural exchange by gathering and relaying student feedback for institutional improvements, assisting with orientation programmes, networking with campus departments and communities, building a sense of community, disseminating important information, helping with conflict resolution, and encouraging students to explore opportunities for scholarships and career advancement. I play a key role in ensuring that international students have a positive and inclusive educational experience.As an international student representative, advocacy has been a cornerstone of my tenure. I have consistently championed initiatives aimed at improving the experiences of international students at Sussex University.One notable advocacy effort involved successfully lobbying for enhanced access to Sussex Direct IT for international students facing restrictive measures. Recognizing the vital role technology plays in facilitating academic success, I engaged with university officials, including the Deputy Vice Chancellor and various committees, to advocate for change. Through constructive dialogue and evidence-based arguments, we were able to address the issue and secure improved access to essential IT resources for international students.Additionally, I advocated for academic support by pressing for timely uploading of readings and materials for classes. Recognizing the importance of adequate preparation time, I worked with faculty members to ensure that students had sufficient time to review materials and engage meaningfully in class discussions.

I was able to volunteer at the One Young event in Belfast.My role:Ushers: I guide attendees to their seats, help maintain order during sessions, and ensure a smooth flow of attendees in and out of event spaces.Speaker Support: I assist guest speakers with their needs, including transportation, and ensure they are well-prepared for their presentations.Information Desk: I also volunteer at the information desk to answer attendees' questions, provide directions, and offer general event information.Opportunity: I was also given the opportunity to participate in the program sessions.

Here's how my experience of learning through these sessions has been beneficial.• I worked on Implementing the digital inclusion project and recruited over 20 tech facilitators.• DIGIGIRLS empowered 30 young girls with laptops and digital skills.• I attended different knowledge and leadership class sessions.• Delivered presentations and briefings to senior teams and incorporated changes into project workflows.• Reported project status and financial updates to stakeholders and collected feedback.• Developed and monitored implementation strategies by creating project schedules and work plans.• Oversaw operational aspects of projects, staffed project teams and directed activities to achieve budget targets.

As a program officer, I have had the opportunity to work closely with my team and supervise two impactful projects that have made a difference in the lives of over 600 youth. Additionally, our initiatives have had a positive impact on the community of Ado Ekiti, particularly through our design project called Clean Up Ekiti. Here's a summary of our achievements:Supervision of Projects: We have successfully managed and overseen two projects targeting youth through environmental education. These projects have provided valuable opportunities and resources for over 600 young individuals, enabling them to gain knowledge and improve their overall well-being.Impact on the Community: One of our notable projects, Clean Up Ekiti, has had a positive impact on the community of Ado Ekiti. By focusing on design, we have not only created awareness about environmental cleanliness but also engaged the community in actively participating in clean-up activities. This initiative has contributed to improving the overall cleanliness and aesthetics of the community, fostering a healthier and more sustainable environment for its residents.

I am thrilled to share that I have personally trained and mentored over 25 young people in the first Cohort of Breaking Into Tech 1.0. Over a period of three months, I focused on equipping them with essential design tools such as Corel Draw and Photoshop. My aim throughout this initiative has been to empower these young women and provide them with valuable skills necessary for a successful career in the tech industry.I am delighted to report that the impact of the program has been significant. As a direct result of their training, 10 of the participants from Breaking Into Tech 1.0 have successfully secured decent employment opportunities.Additionally, I am proud to announce that I have recently taken on the role of mentor for another group of 25 young tech enthusiasts in Breaking Into Tech 2.0. As their mentor, I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and experiences to inspire and guide them on their tech journey. I strongly believe in the power of mentorship as a means to support and nurture talent, and I am excited to contribute to their growth and development.Through my training and mentoring initiatives, I am actively contributing to bridging the gap in the tech industry and creating opportunities for young individuals to excel. I remain committed to empowering more aspiring tech professionals and making a positive impact on their lives and the industry as a whole.

At the Drock Academy centre, our primary focus is on addressing the low educational development among young people, vulnerable children, and individuals with disabilities. Through our programs, we strive to equip them with both formal and informal education, empowering them with the necessary skills to thrive in today's world. As an employed tutor at the academy, my role was to mentor and guide over 40 students in harnessing their creativity and utilizing professional design tools such as Corel Draw and Photoshop to create extraordinary designs.I am proud to share that as a result of our efforts, 35 of these students successfully graduated from the program. They have acquired valuable knowledge and expertise in design, positioning themselves for better employability prospects. It brings me immense joy to see that over 12 of our graduates are now employed as designers, utilizing their skills to contribute to the industry.By providing education and training in professional design tools, we have not only helped these students develop their artistic abilities but also equipped them with practical skills that are in demand in the job market. Our focus on employability skills ensures that they are well-prepared for professional opportunities, enabling them to pursue fulfilling careers in the design industry.
