During my clinical placement at Sunderland and South Tyneside NHS Trust, I gained hands-on experience in multiple radiographic modalities, including plain film, ultrasound, CT, MRI, mobile, and theatre imaging. I assisted radiographers in preparing and positioning patients for diagnostic procedures, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort. I performed plain film X-rays under supervision, adhered to radiation protection protocols, and supported CT radiographers during procedures, including CT head examinations. Additionally, I shadowed MRI and CT radiographers, assisting with patient preparation, workflow coordination, and equipment handling, which allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of clinical protocols and patient care.
