Managed a collective of 15+ women who were tasked with ensuring the smooth daily operations of the Centre by facilitating weekly meetings and one-on-one check-ins with members. Held space both virtually and during scheduled weekly office hours to provide ongoing peer support to women and non-binary folks on campus dealing with a variety of issues related to gender-based oppression and marginalizationWorked closely with the Treasurer to ensure that all expenses were within budget for the fiscal year and that resource allocation was optimized to best support the women in our communityPlanned and coordinated both formal and informal events including women’s self-defense workshops, feminist film screenings and self-care workshops, as well as direct actions in response to the ongoing UBC campus sexual assault crisis. Co-created, managed, and facilitated a bi-weekly feminist Consciousness-Raising (CR) Group that tackled a diverse array of issues pertaining to the lives of women. (Session topics included: Gendered violence, Relationships with men/mother figures/other women, Performing femininity, and Health & Gender, etc.)Increased women and non-binary folks participation and membership in various Women’s Centre events through in-person outreach, consultation and peer-led knowledge exchange.
