Annemiek studeerde in 2005 af aan de Technische Universiteit in Delft in Architectuur en Bouwtechnologie. Zij specialiseerde zich in hergebruik en inbreiding in bestaande historische omgevingen. Sindsdien heeft ze bij meerdere, nationale en internationale bureaus gewerkt. Zo deed zij onder andere kennis op bij Altoon en Porter architects in met name commerciële en retail architectuur. Later werkte zij bij Kraaijvanger architecten, waar zij in 2011 toetrad als (associate) partner. In 2012 werd zij door Europe 40 under 40 verkozen tot één van de belangrijkste opkomende architecten van Europa. Ze houdt zich actief bezig met het management, acquisitie en visie van het bureau.

Annemiek Bleumink (1979) studied architecture and building engineering at the TU Delft (the Netherlands) where she graduated in 2005 with an early studies on reusing a derelict building in the Antwerp harbour, and the building technical connection between the existing and new-build.In many of her projects one can find a strong on ‘preserving’ instead of ‘destructing’. Also within architecture a switchover takes place from new construction to recycling. Increasingly the existing is the outset for reuse or transformation. This usually adds special value in an architectural as well as an urban sense. It creates unexpected environments with unique spatial configurations, historical stratification and above all: authenticity and character without loosing quality.Currently Annemiek Bleumink is working on the transformation of the existing city hall of Vlaardingen, the extension of the American School Early Childhood in Wassenaar, preserving the rural character of a national monumental farmhouse, and the art cluster Diepenheim, uniting various cultural activities in existing historic buildings, new-builds and its surroundings.Annemiek Bleumink worked with Rotterdam based architecture practice Kraaijvanger since 2007, where she joined the board as associate partner / architect end of 2011 and in 2014 she became partner / architect.
