About Brian Mee Sfo, Rsba, M.Ed.
Brian Mee, SFO, RSBA, ACSBA, M. Ed. has over 35 years of school business experience. He currently serves as the CEO | Executive Director of the Association of School Business Officials. Brian has been an active member of the Arizona Association of School Business Officials (AASBO) for over 32 years. He has chaired several committees, made numerous presentations at workshops, and served on the board for six years, including as President in 1999. He is a twenty-time recipient of the Gold Award, three-time recipient of the Member of the Year Award, recipient of the "AASBO Hat" and AASBO’s highest honor, the Bill Lovett Award. Brian has also been an active member of the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO International) for over 30 years, where he has served as Vice Chair of the Professional Development Committee, on the Certificate of Excellence Committee, Meritorious budget Award Committee, Legislative Aspects Committee, the Leadership Development Task Force, Professional Development Task Force, Chaired the Ambassadors Committee, Bi-laws committee. Brian served on the ASBO International board from 2008-2013 and, in 2012, was the first Arizonan to serve as President of ASBO International.Brian served as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees for the AZ School Risk Retention Trust and was President of the School Construction Insurance Pool board. He also served as a member of the auditor Generals School Finance Advisory Committee. For 22 years, Brian received a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting awarded by the Association of School Business Officials International and a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association. For eight years, Brian received the Meritorious Budget Award from ASBO International and the Distinguished Budget Award from GFOA. These are the highest awards a school district can receive for budget preparation and presentation excellence.
