I’m no grand master at using a block and tackle system, but at least I have used them enough number of times to know what I’m doing. I will try to make it sound as simple as can be. In order to set up this system, you need a minimum of two multiple pulley blocks, and a long length of good rope or sturdy cable. Other Parts Of A Block And Tackle SystemOf course, there are other things that people will need to set up the system other than just the rope and pulleys. People will basically need shackles in order to anchor the entire set up to a leverage point that is sturdy enough to hold still even when you add the entire weight of the load.People will also need a hook so that a load can be attached to the entire set up. To help with the jargon, just remember that the pulley assembly is what people usually refer to as the block while the rest of the things in the system’s set up are referred to as the gear.
