With over 25 years of experience in developing competencies for large multinational organizations, I naturally became attuned to the pressing issue of unemployment. This problem is two-fold:1. Nearly 99% of universities offer certificates that lack adequate security measures, making them susceptible to easy duplication—one of the core contributors to corruption in society.2. Approximately 90% of current academic courses fail to lead students to gainful employment.Faced with this challenge, I had two choices: I could complain about the problem and potential solutions, or I could take action. I chose the latter path, and that's how Blockskillo was born.However, bringing Blockskillo to its current form was no small feat. Drawing from my extensive experience in creating onboarding programs for new hires, I crafted a video course for interview preparation in 2019 known as "The Job Workshop." In 2021, I developed a course for startup founders, guiding them on how to build a robust startup and secure funding, aptly named "The Startupster."In 2020, I delved into the world of cryptocurrency and recognized the incredible potential of blockchain technology in the realm of education. Collaborating with blockchain developers, we created the "Blockchain Technology Certification Courses" in 2023.Yet, I also recognized the need to address the issue of quantifying skills and ensuring the integrity of the certification process. This led to the birth of "STAAS" (Skill Tokenization as a Service), a solution that not only offers some of the most secure certificates, including degrees and diplomas for universities, colleges, and even corporate organizations for course completion certificates.Currently, approx. 500 million students worldwide are offered insecure certificates, exacerbating the problems in education and employability.
