President of Rick Blount & Company Inc. (DBA Blount Development Group) We specialize in site selection for developing single family rental, multifamily, senior living and commercial projects. Typically our projects are formed as a joint venture with other developers, institutional investors, or experienced owner operators of multiple senior living facilities. The Blount family, starting with Robert Blount in the 1950's, has been in the development business in Florida for over seventy years. While owning his independent agency representing Aflac, Rick was responsible for recruiting, team building, and achieving multiple sales and recruiting quotas. Rick recruited hundreds of agents and other agencies to offer Aflac products throughout Central Florida. He built up a sales force that produced tens of millions of dollars in new and renewal insurance premiums within government employer groups and private industry.He qualified for many levels of awards beginning with Florida Rookie Of The Year in his first year. Eventually qualifying for the prestigious and coveted, Aflac National Presidents Club. Rick acquired many valuable business tools while with Aflac and was able to retire from that career at a young age, due to Aflac's unique independent agent structure. Over 20 years ago, Rick got back heavily involved with the family development business.
