From 2017 to 2018, I had designed and proposes solutions, predominantly belonging to Machine Learning and Blockchain domain, with a focus on IBM System Z platform. Below some significant projects where I participated.Fraud detection in payment cards (Independent Software Developer)Jointly with professionals of an International ISV, I executed a Proof of Concept on fraud detection, working with real data (over 300m transactions) and IBM Machine Learning for z/OS. Beyond the activity of data exploration, I developed Scala Notebooks on Apache Spark and Python programs to train and test a plurality of different supervised classifiers (logistic regression, decision tree, gradient boosted tree and others), showing features engineering, hyper-parameters optimization, and performance comparison between models. Moreover, I showed how a CICS program can call a deployed machine learning model into the scoring service of the IBM Machine Learning for z/OS. Separately, I also used Keras and Python to train and test and autoencoder for fraud detection.Descriptive and predictive analytics with the Acoustic Emission testing procedure (Central Public Administration)I used IBM Data Science Experience on Cloud, to develop descriptive and predictive analysis on data coming from over 10 years of usage of the Acoustic Emission testing on small GPL tanks. Working with the researchers, I used Python, SKLearn and Keras to develop some sample of descriptive analysis and predictive analysis (classification with machine learning supervised techniques). Asset reuse for development Rest API on System Z platform (Central Public Adminsitration)My contribution has been to demonstrate the benefits of rapidly developing REST API (consumers and providers) from existing assets (prevalently CICS programs), using the IBM z/OS Connect product.

As Senior Technology Architect, I contributed to a lot of complex projects, following a brief description of the main assignments.Complex hybrid cloud scenario for a Central Public Administration.The purpose of this project was the implementation of a complex hybrid cloud scenario, which relies on a cloud broker service (based on IBM cloudMatrix), different public cloud providers and a private cloud management platform. The private side of cloud includes different technology architectures: X86, IBM Power, IBM z/VM. I contributed to the technical design of the overall solution, as well as to the coordination of the implementation activities. The project involved several innovative solutions and an international team.Application Lifecycle Review for a Central Public Administration.The purpose of this project was the review of the application lifecycle management within a complex context (size of application portfolio, number of adopted technologies, etc). I contributed to the full methodology review (application life-cycle, requirements and test design, etc), as well as I identified the target architecture of a new ALM platform, comprising different, integrated tools (SCM, requirements management, test management, etc). I coordinated the delivery activities.SOA platform for a national BankThe purpose of the project was the design and implementation of a SOA platform to host mission critical applications. The solution included the introduction of a Service Registry and ESB. I designed the overall solution and especially the security architecture. I coordinated the implementation activities.
