Moving to Sean Hannah + Co in 2013 I developed a wide array of experience in dealing with owner managed businesses, this contained daily client contact to develop client relationships and maintain client satisfaction. My main day to day duties were varied and encompassed more challenging aspects of work as my role grew, including the following main tasks.Accounts preparation ranging from small sole traders and partnerships to limited companies encompassing e-commerce, motor trade and public house clients.Preparation of quarterly VAT & VATMOSS returns as well as developing client systems to more efficiently maintain records.Completion of corporation tax returns through to submission as well as personal tax returns for clients containing property income and capital gains tax. This would also extend to tax planning surrounding the efficient extraction of funds from limited companies as well as dividend structuring.Other office duties such as implementing new procedures within the office to computerise and streamline processes to save time and money.

I begun working for BTW at 17 and my main roles included bookkeeping, preparation of VAT returns and preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships. As my role developed with my AAT qualification I began moving into management account preparation, together with small limited company accounts and draft corporation tax computation experience. I also began to assist on audit fieldwork within the firm and carry out independent examinations. Nearing the completion of the ACA qualification I was more heavily involved in audit; including the planning and completion stages. I was also involved in more limited company accounts preparation gaining a vast knowledge of different business sectors together with specialist work focusing on particular areas such as charities.
