Delivery of two lectures on youth justice per academic year to Social Work students

Led the business change project for the implementation of the AssetPlus assessment framework to the youth secure estate in England and Wales, including;- Development of the business change approach and training model- Engagement with senior managers and practitioners across the youth secure estate and wider stakeholders in the Youth Custody Service, HMPPS, HMI Prisons and OFSTED.- Delivery of AssetPlus training to senior managers, frontline and central staff- Line management of a team of six Business Change Advisers and Trainers- Use of programme management principles, including developing and managing programme and communication plans, and managing risks and issues.

• Led the development and implementation of the YJB’s Effective Practice Framework, including: o developing new processes for the identification and dissemination of effective practice across the youth justice system, o developing a set of evidence standards, and the processes for classifying youth justice programmes and projects against them. o developing practice resources on programme design and evaluation.Developed the seminar agenda for the 2012 and 2013 Youth Justice Conventions• Represented the YJB alongside MoJ colleagues and voluntary sector organisations delivering arts-related interventions in the criminal justice system• Led the procurement of a supplier to deliver ‘Theory of Change’ training to youth justice practitioners• Line management of one permanent post as well as one member of staff on a fixed-term contract.

• Delivered interventions to young people on a range of community and custodial sentences, and voluntary interventions, including high-risk young people• Produced court reports, assessments and tailored intervention plans• Worked closely with the young person’s family/carers and other agencies involved in the delivery of these plans. • Developed and delivered a group-work offending behaviour programme

Engagement with the local community on a range of issues relating to local policing. Focused work with young people on evenings and weekends to address anti-social behaviour. Training and tutoring of new PCSOs, including the use of competency frameworks and performance review processes.
