Worked on creating a new frontend for the Webmegler real estate solution. Helped transitioning away from legacy technology over to the new stack of .NET core and React (VB6 desktop app -> modern webapp). For the new frontend we built a design system using Storybook and reusable components distributed with NPM.

Stord, Hordaland, Norway

Mix of front end and back end development. Lead developer of the Ease Live Server (Node.js + MySQL + Redis + SocketCluster (realtime websocket framework)), Ease Live Client (javascript + websockets), and the Sixty ID single sign on solution. Participated in multiple tech workshops with customers/prospects to showcase the Sixty technology. Close collaboration with the devops team on performance testing, cloud solutions, IaC (terraform), etc.

Norway

Worked on product development and client work. Assumed a tech lead role in multiple projects, including the Ease Live implementation for the NBA 2017-18 international app. In addition to creating the initial front end architecture (React/Vue) I had the responsibility for the real time data import layer, which was implemented using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Node.js.

Personal company for freelance work. Worked on a large Ruby on Rails project with a large search component based on Solr for the American Statistical Association. Also some smaller projects for Norwegian clients (Ruby on Rails, PHP).

Stord, Norway

Creating web applications aimed at the media agency industry. In addition to system architecture/implementation I'm also doing a lot of UX/UI work. We're using C# on the backend (ASP.net MVC, Hangfire) and React on the frontend. Azure for cloud services.

Mainly doing long-term on-site consulting on large projects at Vimond/TV2. Solving difficult problems using modern technology (Ruby on Rails/Backbone/SOA/cloud/etc). Delivered software to companies like TV2 (Norway), TV4 (Sweden), MTV3 (Finland) and Comcast (US).At Vimond I helped introducing Ruby on Rails and also did some training of other employees.Also some in-house client work, mainly based on ASP.NET and Umbraco CMS, in addition to Sass/other modern front-end tools.I also did a bunch on open source contributions and some public speaking during this period.

Worked on a open source Ruby on Rails-based portal as a Google Summer of Code student. The backend was implemented using Solr and PostgreSQL. I also contributed to several other open source projects during this period.
