About Brian Marshall

I am a CISO and DevSecOps architect and solutions engineer for several organizations. I have over 15 years in senior and executive leadership roles across multiple industries including large scale commerce, healthcare, media/advertising and SaaS/PaaS. I am also a founding partner of Lark Security, a cybersecurity and compliance consulting firm. I have over 20 years experience in software development, IT/DevOps operations.My education and early career was in Commercial Film/Video/Photography, which led me down a path towards deep involvement in technology. I started in software engineering and Linux web application hosting before moving to the security side of things. As a technologist, at my core I am a Linux engineer and data center nerd. As a technology leader, I am all about the process for eating the elephant. I understand that managing large scale initiatives takes a lot of moving parts, a lot of people, and a way to deal with the complexity to ensure success. I have a proven track record of large scale infrastructure and security initiatives.I attended Metro-State University in Denver for Digital Imaging and Computer Science, and still have interest and take part in photography and film side-projects. In my spare time I ski, ride motorcycles and volunteer for Search and Rescue and ARES.
