I held this position for the summers of 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021I was the lead director of the summer school program at the Steelton-Highspire Jr/Sr High School. I oversaw staff and students, and conducted administrative duties to ensure a successful and productive summer school experience for all.

Transferable Skills:• Accountability – I was accountable for an entire class of children every day. Arriving late or unprepared was not an option.• Adaptability - Each day, when in a per diem position, I needed to quickly adapt to working in a new setting with various age groups, while handling the inevitable distractions that forced me to stray from my given schedule.• Time Management – I was given tasks and content that needed to be completed either throughout the day (elementary schools) or individual period (secondary schools). Appropriate time management is an essential component for effective instruction. • Problem-Solving – No two days are the same, nor are any two groups of students. I needed to think on my feet to effectively to complete tasks, some times without adequate materials provided.

I taught four 10th-grade honors world cultures classes during my student teaching experience at Ringgold High School.I also monitored a mixed-grade study hall every day. Lastly, I gave various presentations about Ecuador to different Spanish classes throughout my time (I lived and taught in Ecuador during the summer of 2010).
