I work on the Application Support team and support production and multiple stage/dev environments in a SQL administrative capacity. I coordinate efforts between contracted application and hosting support and our own application support and customer service groups, troubleshoot issues, implement data fixes as needed, produce SOP documentation, and work on reporting/logging requirements. I am also the farm admin on our SharePoint 2010 instance, which is still in development stages.

As an IT Analyst, my duties with FIM were to expeditiously resolve help desk requests at the Tier0-1-2 levels and escalate systems management issues to Tier 3. I was also responsible for managing and administering the Altiris Helpdesk Solution, including the creation and maintenance of routing rules and notifications. My knowledge with Altiris solutions was also instrumental in upgrading and streamlining the Altiris Deployment Solution across a number of remote sites.I was promoted from this position to Jr. Systems Administrator after three months.

Primary responsibilities included helpdesk technician work, involving assisting users with troubleshooting issues with Cerritos hardware and personal laptops across a variety of operating systems and productivity suites, in addition to office hardware such as printers, fax machines, photocopiers and plotters. Built hard disk imaging solutions with Altiris Deployment Solution and Symantec Ghost, implementing both OS-level and third-party security products to secure workstations against tampering/misconfiguration by users. Designed and implemented Citrix MetaFrame presentation server and ICA clients for thin client implementation of library catalog system. Authored and implemented scripts for automation of startup, shutdown and maintenance processes.
