As a Literacy Achievement Coordinator at Washington County Public Schools (WCPS), I support secondary schools in implementing effective and equitable literacy instruction and practices. I collaborate with district and school leaders, teachers, and other stakeholders to plan, model, and facilitate professional development, curriculum design, and data analysis.I have a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Frostburg State University, where I learned how to apply research-based strategies and frameworks to improve student outcomes and school culture. Previously, I was a District Literacy Lead Teacher and a Classroom Teacher at WCPS for six years, where I contributed to the district literacy leadership team and delivered engaging and rigorous lessons to diverse learners. I am passionate about promoting literacy as a lifelong skill and empowering students and educators to achieve their goals.
