Growing up in central Pennsylvania, my dream was to be in sports communications. In 2013, I got the opportunity to come back to my hometown and join the team at Little League International. During my time here, we have worked to expand Little League’s digital and social media footprint, launch strategic initiatives such as Girls with Game, establish a Little League Rulebook App, bring the MLB Little League Classic to life, and more. Currently serving as Little League Senior Communications Executive, I help to drive the organization’s strategic communications efforts, oversee the communications department and its relationship with other internal and external departments, develop Little League’s long-term communication goals, and more. Working with Liz DiLullo Brown, Little League Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Business Relationship Officer, and the entire Communications, Marketing, and World of Little League Museum teams to bring the Little League International program to life through content development, partnerships and events, and museum programming.Prior to joining the Little League International team, I have taught journalism to American high school students in London, held editorial positions at Men's Health and Field & Stream magazines, and served as a communications manager for the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. For three years, I was immersed in the digital and social media worlds working on the launches of GoFISHn.com and GoHUNTn.com. The innovative content-solution websites, led by the former COO of TechCrunch and GM of AOL Tech Media and current Senior Operating Partner at SOSV, Ned Desmond, provided small businesses in niche markets the ability to better market themselves online.
