Hello. I’m Benjamin Martinez, a University of Houston honors graduate majoring in Computer Information Systems and minoring in Computer Graphics Technology.What I’m passionate about the most is being able to understand the connection to people and technology and being able to become a contributor to a continuously evolving, technologically-savvy future through the use of software and databases.In 2017, I was given the pleasure of developing my first database for an electrical company known as CV Electrical Services of Texas, where I worked with a group of tech-savvy individuals to create a more modern system of organization. Later, I discovered that I wanted to focus my skills on database administration so that I can not only create the systems that can make lives better, but I can also take part in maintaining their integrity and ensuring that they function for years to come. In the end, my goal is to not only be a part of the continuously-flowing technological movement, but to also use my skills to inspire my peers to reach their goals and to never give up on them.From 2016 to most of 2018, I have worked as cashiers at two restaurants: Carl's Jr. and Chick-fil-A. Additionally, I am pursuing some interest in computer graphics to help better promote a client's business, and be able to have multiple skills when working with computers. I worked as an ITM Teller at First Community Credit Union. On June 22, 2020, I was promoted from ITM Teller to Application Support Specialist, where I'm currently learning new methods of how computer software and hardware are applied to FCCU's financial responsibilities. With my skills with databases, programming languages, computer graphics, collaboration and communication, I feel that I can become a superb employee for those who are seeking a creative, dedicated, and outgoing individual.Currently, I'm pursuing a Master's in Cybersecurity and hope to acquire a few relevant certifications over the course of my degree.
