Develops, implements and monitors environmental strategies, policies and programs that promote sustainable development. Ensures that corporate environmental strategies are implemented and directs where improvements can be made and ensure compliance with environmental legislation. Leads the ISO 14001 certified site specific EMS and ensures its success within the established corporate management systems. Conducts environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving environmental problems and leads of change. Ensures that staff are trained at all levels and that the workforce recognizes their own contributions to improved environmental performance. Manages the environmental support personnel and day to day operation of the pollution control equipment throughout the operation.
