As part of a global continuous improvement team Brian specialises in the delivery of technical projects for one of Accenture's largest global clients. These projects ranged from the delivery of automation, business and process improvement to an external customer facing satisfaction tool. These where delivered through technologies such as SharePoint (Brian's specialty), SAP, Dynamics CRM, Power BI, and custom 3rd Party solutions.In addition, projects included key activities such as:• Ensuring that all projects deliver to time and quality and to customer’s specification.• Identifying potential problems and compliance issues, and resolving or escalating.• Ensure all projects comply to Accenture’s delivery model and quality standards.• Managing both on and off shore stakeholders.• Working with and reporting to both client and Accenture senior management.• Management of project resources.Uniquely Brian was not only responsible for the delivery of the overall project but for a lot of projects he was also heavily involved in the solutioning and development of the technology needed within the project.In addition, Brian was also responsible for the setup and hiring of a global support team and more recently the expansion of this team to include an off-shore SharePoint support team. He is also seen as a technology SPOC, in particular for SharePoint and was often called upon for consiltation and support by both the client and colleagues.

Whilst working alongside Accenture’s Projects and Reporting team supporting global credit services for Microsoft I developed a custom SharePoint 2010 solution to centralise, improve and automate the approval process of the many forms used worldwide, all while adhering to Microsoft’s strict policies and SOX compliance. This included the development, testing and support of:• A user friendly site where users can create, submit and track forms sent for approval.• Create custom InfoPath forms and web parts.• Develop complex workflows to automate the approval process of forms.• Dashboards for tracking and viewing approval process.• Creation of custom views and fields to support reporting.• Technical documentation and Visio diagrams of the solution.• Training documents and videos.• Online training sessions to the various teams around the world via Lync.• Providing day to day email and phone support to users.• Monitored site usage and performance and liaised with the SharePoint support team on any server issues that arose throughout the lifetime of the contract.I also liaised with, both the on shore and offshore members of this project about any queries or issues and gave constant status updates as the project progressed.

Reporting to the managing director, responsible for the entire companies ICT infrastructure. Key objective was to streamline the company’s overall productivity and performance through the use of ICT. In addition I was also responsible for administration of the company accounts and payroll.Responsible for the requirement analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of the company wide SharePoint system.Continuously improved the SharePoint system through the use of SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, vendor applications and add-ons, to create workflows, custom forms and web parts, modifying and inserting custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C# code.Administered Exchange, Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server, IAS/NPS, Hyper-V, DNS, DHCP, Fax Services, Windows 2000, XP & 7.Monitored and maintained all servers and networks to ensure optimal performance was available to the multiple remote and in office users. Especially the secure VPN connection to the second branch.Dealt with all I.T. related vendors and software or hardware maintenance providers for all support and procurement needs.Provided phone, remote or on site support for all users and network nodes.Responsible for the upgrade, migration and installation of new servers and workstations.Implemented and maintained a dual backup system using Symantec Backup Exec for tape backup and Shadow Protect imaging software for whole server backup. Used virtual and physical servers to continuously test backups.Ensured network security through the use of Firewalls, Security certificates, encryption, and antivirus both on devices and through cloud services.Managed the company accounts and payroll. Used ROS.ie to ensure all returns were filed. I also worked closely with the accountant to perform any accruals and adjustments needed to produce an annual set of company accounts.

Main duties included designing and programming products for punching, folding & laser CNC machines.As part of a team I had to ensure that stock levels were maintained and that the machines ran smoothly 24/7, which required me to be on call.I updated and streamlined old CAD drawings, production sheets and process tasks to keep up to date with the current ISO standard.I physically installed an Ethernet network to enable easier sharing of CAD/CAM files between PC's and network control of the factory machines.I also expanded this network into the other companies within the Excel group. I installed and maintained a central server to enable employees to collaborate better and share printers etc. thus reducing hardware, paper & ink costs.I introduced a proxy server that allowed sharing and managing a ISDN (and later broadband) connection thus opening the use of email and the internet to all employees that required it, were beforehand multiple 56k dial up connections were being used. I also continued to provide all the PC and network support, installation and management of software and its licensing for the Excel Group.

As the only employee at the time I was required to design & print all the required material for the companies in the Excel Electric Group and external customers.I operated a range of printing equipment from a Gestetner rotary ink printing press, cutting machines to digital printing/folding machines.I also installed and configured the first Ethernet network within the Excel group by networking all the Macintosh PC's and printing devices at the time.I was also called on to fix any I.T. related issue that may evolved within the group.
