The HE Sector Group advises the British Council on Higher Education work and influences how its Higher Education vision and strategy are developed and implemented and how these benefit the UK higher education sector and UK higher education institutions with their international endeavours. The group bring constructive challenge to ensure the British Council’s HE activities are results-driven, support the wider strategic objectives of the sector and support the priorities of the UK’s InternationalEducation Champion.

Group is brought together to work with the Study UK team in providing feedback and input into the development of the the Study UK campaign - originally the group focused on the digital campaign but overtime the focus of the group and the discussions have moved to every aspect of the Study UK campaign

The British Universities' International Liaison Association (BUILA) comprises a membership of people across UK higher education with an interest in international activities, particularly recruitment of international students and the issues that impact on this.BUILA is a membership-led organization for staff in HEI's who are concerned with international work - primarily the recruitment of international (i.e. Non-EU) students on program's of higher study in the UK . Members meet in regional groupings and pass concerns and issues through to an elected Executive. Members of the Executive have built up effective channels of communication with key agencies and organizations including The British Council, UCAS, UKCISA, ECCTIS, Universities UK, DFE, OFS, Home Office, DTI and many more.
