After multiple years of Mobile App development, I decided to try something new. I started working on more web related projects. After much consideration I decided to focus more on Magento 2, Symfony 2, Laravel and other PHP related (back-end) projects. After some Magento 2 projects I wanted to try something new in the e-commerce milieu. So I started at Summica, focussing on PIM and e-commerce systems built within the SAP Hybris landscape. I've really enjoyed collaborating with my colleagues and clients alike. Building big and powerful PIM and e-commerce solutions for large (inter)national corporations was really inspiring and always a great challenge.After a year and a half working with awesome clients at Summica I decided to switch things around again. Starting 2019 I will be recommencing my PHP development at Foleon. I've taken on the role of back-end developer, working with awesome technologies and cutting-edge applications.I've also got multiple years of experience in Apple related software development (e.g. iPhone, iPad, macOS) and Android related development (e.g. Android for smartphones, Android Wear and Android TV).I've built apps ranging from basic to richly detailed and sophisticated. This experience comes with good knowledge of fundamentals that come with modern application and software engineering technologies, namely: memory management, object oriented software design, design patterns, abstraction, databases, ERM, ERD, UML, etc.I also have multiple years of experience in basic HTML/CSS and advanced PHP development. Besides PHP I've been heavily studying databases and database design, namely ORM and object to database persistency. Also, I've become really fond of using frameworks like Symfony 2 and related frameworks (e.g. Doctrine). While these frameworks are pretty fun to work with an great for their general purpose, building large-scale applications for enterprise is a great way to further improve my personal and professional skills.
