This internship at the Rachel Carson garden involved mostly tending to the maintenance of the garden by weeding, helping with the existing compost piles by watering or turning, helping build the greenhouse, tool shed organizing, clearing the paths and flattening them, or just simply throwing out any plastic waste from the trash bins.

As an intern I was tasked with community outreach efforts to engage local residents, schools, and organizations in the garden's activities. This included organizing workshops, coordinating volunteer opportunities, maintaining relationships with local partners, and promoting the garden's initiatives through various communication channels.
