I served in the Military signing up following the events of 9/11. My journey in the Army brought me from Germany to States from coast to coast and then to Iraq for 3 tours and a 4th in Kuwait. I was medically retired in 2014 and Homeless by 2019. I saw a dire need for change for Veterans while I volunteered in many VSOs that it inspired me to create my own. Hellfish Haven is my dream come true located on campus in Boston across the courtyard from a homeless shelter we have a community center and a computer lab to have a safe sober alternative for Veterans, their families and caregivers to gather and gain perspective on how to rebuild themselves and get back into the community and enjoy the camaraderie that most lost after their transition out of the service. I hope to take my story and share the hard times and trauma I endured so that other Veterans do not have to go the same route. I have lost too many friends and service members to suicide that I have gotten trained as a Gatekeeper QPR Trainer to help get people help before they reach that point of the decision that cant be undone.
