B.Michael Peterson is an entrepreneur, independent Filmmaker and Playwright based in New York City.His artistic statement states “writing stories about the gay male existence is the fabrication of my contribution to society to help everyone obtain a deeper understand and existence of the gay lifestyle and the respect that gay men deserve”, he would like to additionally say that “while the landscape of the LGBTQIA+ is at stake, he does not feel comfortable writing those roles, but those roles may come through as characters in the future if not already written. He encourages and pushes artistic directors, directors and casting directors to do their job and take high consideration in casting non-binary and trans actors. Be better in setting the example and start casting appropriately”.He is the author of the Avokyu book series. As well as the author of the following plays: “Campfire Inferno”, “Truce, or The Suicide Letter” and “Can’t Tear Me Down: The Revenge of the Pink Posse”.His writing career began as an Arts and Entertainment Journalist with SeattleGayScene.com, The Capitol Hill Times, and Frontiers Magazine with coverage with exclusive interviews and episode recaps of RuPauls Drag Rage. He later formed his online magazine, NEW QUEER ON THE BLOCK, where he also reviewed theater in Seattle.He hold a 20 year history with theater as a professional theater stage manager, and 10 years as a drag performer, host and event producer.
