Level I — Surgical TraumaI love this OR Team! Everyday they make the impossible possible. They work tirelessly with limited resources, including pay that was consistently below market, but they care and make things happen. If there were fewer suits walking around making detrimental decisions, this place would be magical.

Currently serving the Sterile Processing Department in a quality assurance position. Each day my focus is providing the right instrumentation at the right time for our very busy Level I Trauma Service, General Surgery, Neurologic Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Plastics. I act as a liaison between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room by improving processing efficiency, collecting provider feedback, planning for and anticipating provider needs, and expediting service when appropriate.

Assisting in consultation and performance of Lifestyle Lift procedures.

Primarily worked in the ortho service doing scopes and carpal tunnel surgeries.

Assisted Dr. Carter with lens replacement procedures.

Main O.R. : general, vascular, & orthopedic.

Recruiting in the behavioral health division. Primarily recruiting candidates for locum tenens (contract) positions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Gained a very thorough knowledge of the behavioral health professions including Psychiatry and Psychology.

Canvassing regional markets and executing recruiting plans that optimize the U.S. Navy's diversity in areas such as: ethnicity, education level, age group, and gender. Naval Recruiting District Dallas has consistantly maintained a place in the top three regions for recruiting in the entire country. I was proud to have been a part of, and contributor to, an exceptionally motivated recruiting team.

I was responsible for day to day operations for the combat acoustics division on board the USS DeWert, USS Estocin, and USS Samuel Eliot Morison in three different areas: sonar maintenance scheduling, sonar operations training, and maintenance of the torpedo launching system. My most notable tours include: counter drug operations in the South American west coast waters of the Pacific Ocean and Caribean Sea, also we were selected to join the NATO naval group and participate in training exercises throughout the European theatre.
