I also volunteer for Summer of Tech and was thrilled to help out at the first VakaCon, where I got to see the incredible turnout of the Pasifika community and the next generation of technology leaders.During a three-month internship at Trade Me, I worked as a Software Developer in the Search Platform squad. There, I gained hands-on experience with a range of back-end technologies, including C#, .NET, Microservices, Elasticsearch, PubSub, and REST APIs. During my time there, I also worked on a project to develop an end-to-end test for the search pipeline, streamlining the pipeline's status testing process which would allow the team to quickly identify potential issues propagating through the pipeline.
