Recent graduate from UF as a mechanical engineer. Throughout my time at UF, I have developed my work ethic and leadership skills in and out of the classroom. I've also worked as a peer adviser to better my communication with new people and faculty. My time as a lifeguard taught me time management, situational assessment, and working under pressure. During my courses at UF, the projects have ranged from creating a robot that can navigate a set course from the Design & Manufacturing Lab to creating a new and innovative IP while learning how to finance such an endeavor in the Engineering Entrepreneurship course.Since April 2016 I have been working in a research lab under Dr. Hitomi Yamaguchi-Greenslet on a project with magnetic abrasive finishing and tool motion analysis to achieve desirable surface roughness. Along with research I have been a peer adviser for the College of Engineering since May 2015. There in 1 on 1 setting I help new engineering students manage course loads and technical electives that may help them pursue their interests in the field. I have also been working with the University of Florida as a lifeguard at Lake Wauberg since May 2015. During work hours and using training sessions, my coworkers and I train to congeal an action plan if an emergency should occur.Coworkers and lab mates have always taken notice of my hard work ethics and my ability to do any tasks given to me. I pride myself in being able to work alone or in groups and forming connections with them that last even today. I am planning to graduate with my bachelor's degree at the end of August 2016 from the University of Florida Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering.After graduation I plan to make connections and become an integral member of any company in my horizon.
