As a physics PhD candidate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln I helped create novel analyses by applying cutting edge machine learning, deep learning, and outlier detection methods to the field of ultrafast molecular physics.

Designed a solution clustering flight paths into natural groupings, allowing identification of serious flight path deviations and increasing speed at which compliance with FAA standard procedures can be investigated.

Assisted on-site with experiments at the Ultrafast Electron Diffraction (UED) facility at SLAC. In addition to setting up and running the equipment I was also tasked with optimizing experimental parameters in real-time, requiring performing real-time analysis on very low signal-to-noise images from diffraction experiments and applying cutting-edge Deep Learning and Machine Learning techniques.
