This role as an external examiner involves visiting GCU to sample student work and marking and provide guidance and disseminate best practice.

Responsible for a range of provisioned Simplify IT Security services, such as penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, security reviews and IT security training.

This role involves teaching and assessing students on Open University Courses T216 and M889 the courses being Cisco CCNA (Networking) and Computer Forensics Investigations respectively.Latterly I was involved in M811 Information Security.

Designing, teaching, and assessing students from undergraduate to postgraduate in Internet Information Security, Ethical Hacking and Computer Forensics. At Coventry University we have recently setup a dedicated hacking lab allowing students to access software and hardware in their own time to build up technical skills that can be used in the fight against hacking and anti-forensics.

This role involved teaching and assessing computing subjects to a range of students on BTEC National Diploma courses and BSc Computing courses for Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge). Subjects included relation database, systems analysis, networking and e-commerce.

Lecturer / Programme OrganiserTeaching networking, wireless networking security, cryptography, games software development and computer architecture. I was also the Programme Organiser for the BSc Network & Support course. This was a direct entry programme, which required significant involvement with local FE colleges in order to ensure smooth transition from FE to HE. My goal was to align our HE provision to allow as many FE courses to articulate to the HE programmes we had on offer.During my time at Glasgow Caledonian I also embedded the entire Cisco CCNA course within the networking programme and raised the course cohort from 48 to over 120. Other notable achievements included setting up the ethical hacking modules and course for first delivery in session 2007/8 and the establishment of computer forensics modules and a related course.

Responsible for teaching across a number of modules on the National and Higher National programmes. Planned, designed and developed the Information Technology and Business Administration Higher National Diploma and Gateway to computing courses. In addition to to teaching and curriculum development my role involved all the administrative and organisation duties in maintaining the day-to-day running of the courses.

Responsible for a small team working on the radar systems of fixed wing aircraft.
