Vertex is a global leader in Direct and Indirect Tax Calculation and Compliance SaaS software. In this role I organized a large team of Architects to govern and align the entire Vertex organization toward a next generation technology strategy across all lines of business. As part of this process, I personally designed the foundational platform technologies that will be used to support our unprecedented growth and led the redesign of key technologies which will ensure Vertex is a global leader for years to come. This success paved the way toward a more forward thinking focus in Emerging Technology.

As EA I am responsible for continued technological advancement, R&D, architectural runway, and the alignment of business objectives and initiatives to Frontline's technology strategy across all products. In this role I am involved in defining and maintaining a long-term technology and product vision geared toward Frontline's growth, market dominance, and unparalleled customer satisfaction.As Director of Platform Services, I am responsible for the People, Processes and Technologies that comprise the creation and maintenance of core foundational technologies utilized across all solution products at Frontline. My mandate is to build highly scalable, highly available, cutting edge foundational Platform Managed Services as quickly, efficiently and safely as possible.

I worked with and managed a team of highly skilled engineers to continue the transformation of Frontline Education from a .net shop to a polyglot technology stack organization with fully containerized and scalable micro services that comprised an insightful platform with a public facing API. This required significant R&D, prototyping, training and change management strategies. My job was to stay ahead of the technology curve to help developers, managers and business bring features and products to market as quickly as possible while guiding my team to grow their careers and experiences.

At Under Armour I managed a medium sized group of contracting consultants organized into 3 teams of 6 Developers, a Scrum Master and a Delivery Manager totaling 20 resources. I was responsible for developing and delivering the multiple application tiers necessary to bring UnderArmour.com to the web through a highly available and performant SOA microarchitecture.

As Principal Architect I utilized a combination of software development, marketing, management, and mentoring skills to consult and guide the TEKsystems Global Services QA Practice in new technologies and processes. I was tasked with advancing the practice and those in it through training on services and tools at all levels including executives. I was engaged to consult with and guide internal operations management, human resource management, sales initiatives and presentations, department goals, marketing, graphics design, market growth strategy, SOW definitions and budget allocation. For customers, I was responsible for developing and evolving customized overarching QA strategies and solutions, addressing and managing people, processes, and technologies. I was responsible for the development and successful rollout of these Quality Management and Testing solutions through support or direct ownership of all pre-sales activities, management, resourcing, consulting, and required technology.

As Practice Architect, I fulfilled a senior technical leadership position responsible for developing and evolving an overarching testing methodology that addresses People, Process, and Technology. I was responsible for the successful rollout of an appropriate testing implementation on an engagement-by-engagement bases. Relative to customers, I was the senior client facing Technical Resource with additional leadership responsibilities for TEKsystems' technical resources in US, Canada, and India, including coaching/mentoring, project oversight, and expertise development. I was tasked with maintaining a big-picture view of each client's testing framework, its dependencies, organizational goals, technology arena, etc. and help guide & direct the functioning of the testing engagement appropriately.

I created all of the underlying technology represented in the TEKsystems BPT Accelerator Solution, a highly versatile, fully functional automation framework utilizing a three-step approach of People, Process, and Technology to deliver best practices, effective training, and customized libraries through the HP Suite of tools. I worked with industry leaders to design best practices and processes that surround the stated technology making it one of the most sought-after automation solutions in the market at the time. I additionally designed custom solutions in various technology stacks including .NET and Java. I consulted and implemented solutions all across North America.
