I have been managing the network for Grundy Center Community Schools since inception in 1992. Currently we have about 850 machines serving 650 students and growing every year. We are 1 to 1 in grades K-12 and that does not count over 150 ipads in the district. I believe that teachers should ever have to plan for access to technology. Grundy Center is well respected for its' integration of technology in the classroom. As a model school, we have hosted over 40 school districts that have come to learn more about our technology. Out district has been used as a model for several 1 to 1 programs in Iowa and Illinois. I was also fortunate to be elected by my peers to the ITEC board where I served many roles. This was a volunteer position and the organization strives to promote technology integration for Iowa students.In 2015, I added the Curriculum Director role to my duties. This position is shared with AGWSR. I have been involved in curriculum work along with professional development in both districts. I have led three large scale curriculum adoptions. I obtained my Administrator license via the IPLA and have enjoyed serving on two admin teams.
