Since the spring semester of 2013 I have lead more than 30 course sections for the Business Department. These courses have included, Principles of Marketing, Understanding Business, Principles of Supervision, Small Business Management and Freshman First-Year Seminar. I have delivered these courses in several formats; online, hybrid and in a traditional classroom setting. Teaching for the college has been an exciting and rewarding experience. I have built coursework for my classes by creating and using web based videos, case studies, group assignments and forums. These assignments allow my students to enhance their classroom (physical or online) through the wide variety of personal experiences, professional experiences, educational backgrounds and economic situations.

The primary goal of the MEMIC Center is to improve workplace safety and help lower workers compensation costs for Maine employers. Partnering with the Maine Community College System, the MEMIC Center offers programming leading to national health and safety certifications, and customized courses to meet the needs of individual employers and their workers. The MEMIC Center for Workplace Safety provides Maine employers with access to timely and substantive safety training. Headquartered in Auburn at Central Maine Community College, the MEMIC Center offers programming in a variety of settings, including online, at the workplace, and across Maine’s seven community college campuses and off-campus centers.

Coordinated and expanded off campus offerings in two regions while creating stronger ties with community members, local businesses and organizations. Assisting both students and faculty in navigating all of college’s processes including admissions, registrar, business office, financial aid and academic affairs. Successfully planned events for on campus and off campus efforts including orientations, open houses, graduations and registration days.

Generated leads through cold calling, visiting local business and profiling prospective clients. Modified tools to better conduct a needs analysis, establishing client’s objectives, budget and creative expectations. Prepared and presented marketing proposals to new and existing clients. Designed pricing, discounts and special offer plans. Developed strong negotiation and business networking skills.

Planned and bought advertising time/space for multiple direct marketing campaigns. Met budget requirements and maintained revenue and performance expectations for both internal product lines as well as outside clients. Created tools to better track employee and campaign performance. Responsible for approximately $40,000 worth of advertising per week.
