I am a passionate researcher pursuing my Ph.D. at Ames National Laboratory, Iowa State University. I am working on a Department of Energy-funded project aimed at synthesizing self-assembled metallic nanostructures in two and three dimensions for the fabrication of optical metamaterials. My expertise lies in the synchrotron X-Ray characterization of nanomaterials, which I perform at Argonne National Laboratory, IL, and Brookhaven National Laboratory, NY.Prior to my current role, I completed my B. Tech in Biotechnology at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India. During my undergraduate years, I focused on synthesizing phosphate glasses for biomedical applications and synthesizing and purifying nano-diamonds for industrial applications. My extensive research background, combined with my marketing experience as the head of the startup FluoroQ, where I led the team in the low-cost production of carbon quantum dots, has equipped me with a unique skill set that enables me to approach research with both scientific rigor and business acumen.Before joining academia, I worked as an Associate at ZS Associates, Pune, India, where I honed my market research skills and developed key professional competencies such as time management, client management, and Microsoft Office. I also have a passion for photography and sports, especially cricket, and I enjoy pursuing these interests in my leisure time.
