I'm currently a junior at the Emory College of Arts and Sciences majoring in biology and economics. I am curious and motivated, with excellent problem solving skills and a passion for both learning and teaching.Throughout high school, I volunteered as a peer tutor for subjects like biology and calculus, and I continue teaching as a Learning Assistant for introductory biology lab courses at college. I am currently a copy editor for Emory's interdisciplinary science magazine, "Hybrid Vigor." I have experience with lab techniques like PCR, western blot, gel electrophoresis, culturing microbes, and chemistry lab procedures, as well as familiarity with a range of organisms such as C. elegans, yeast, anaerobic bacteria, and tardigrades. I've completed advanced coursework in biology and chemistry, and have experience with data analysis and statistical tests in R and Excel.Outside of academics, I enjoy reading and writing fiction. This gives me a creative outlet and a chance to develop my writing skills.
