With over 17 years of experience as a Freelance Conference Interpreter and Translator, I have provided language services for various clients and sectors, including European affairs, strategic infrastructure, energy, education, policy the Irish language and language planning. I also obtained the E.U. accreditation for Conference Interpreting in 2011, which attests to my high level of proficiency and professionalism in Irish and English. Since 2016, I have been employed as a legislative editor at the Houses of the Oireachtas, where I edit and proofread various documents that have been translated from English into Irish, such as acts, bills, motions, resolutions, and press releases. I also manage the translation order paper team, the evening/night translation team and head up various projects. In this role, I apply my skills in research, terminology, and quality assurance, as well as my knowledge of legislative and Irish language issues. I am passionate about contributing to the promotion and preservation of the Irish language and culture, and supporting the work of the Irish Parliament.
