Hames is an interstate broker and company carrier planning service.– Assist partners in scheduling over-the-road shipments.– Broker loads, schedule trucks, track shipments, and negotiate rates.

Yokogawa is a process automation service and technology provider.– Provided Centum DCS upgrade sales support. Assisted Account Managers in winning over $5M of service solution projects through system engineering support and proposal generation; some projects included: Delek Refining ($450K), Shell Norco ($350K), CF Industries, Chevron, Koch Industries, American Acrylics, and Toray Plastics. – Provided technical support for service upgrades and modifications including: control panel design, migration strategies, control system network architecture, and wiring diagrams and schematics.– Worked with Field Instrument Business Units specifying and proposing final field devices.

Process Automation specialized in instrument calibrations.– Provided technical sales and service sales support for Yokogawa customers for DCS System Engineering and DCS comprehensive and periodic maintenance and system performance evaluations.– Performed DCS Operator Training for Centum DCS; classes ranged up to 12 participants.

Managed several projects during this timeframe. The four most significant were:1. DCS Replacement Project with Chevron Global Lubricants in Richmond, California– Led this $1.4M project that involved hardware and software supply, project and application engineering, control system installation, electrical subcontractors, and factory acceptance testing.– Passed site acceptance test with five-day plant shutdown and cutover of new control system.2. DCS Replacement Project with Chevron Global Lubricants’ Tinajin Lubricants Plant in Tianjin, China– Led this $300K project that involved hardware and software supply, project and application engineering, control system installation, electrical subcontractors, and factory acceptance testing.– Passed site acceptance test with five-day plant shutdown and cutover of new control system.3. Hurricane Ike Recovery Project with Chevron Global Lubricants’ Port Arthur (Texas) Lubricants Plant– Led this $5.1M project in the wake of Hurricane Ike (14 September 2008). Expanded project scope listed below to include six-week emergency turnaround to bring Chevron’s basic operations into production.– Project included DCS Replacement – Post Hurricane Ike Balance of Plant Installation.4. Process Control System Replacement Project with Chevron Global Lubricants’ Port Arthur (Texas) Lubricants Plant– Led this $1.8M project that involved hardware and software supply, project and application engineering, control system installation, electrical subcontractors, and factory acceptance testing. Project Engineer / Instrument Control Technician – Industrial Automation Systems Division | 2005 – 2007– Designed and implemented distributed control systems. Responsible for system configuration and hardware engineering for Eastern U.S. Region.– On one project, replaced antiquated industrial control systems with state-of-the-art, environmentally controlled systems at the U.S. Naval Shipyard dry docks in Portsmouth, Maine.

Automated Logic provides cost-effective, user friendly HVAC control solutions.– Designed and implemented HVAC control logic for environmental and mechanical control systems in the building automation systems industry. Responsible for controlling engineering and material costs at or below budget while completing project deliverables to dealer services throughout the U.S.– Completed implementation and testing of ALCS based control logic.– Performed applications programming using Eikon graphic based control programming.– Coordinated communication interfaces between Automated Logic control modules and third-party hardware suppliers.– Authored functional and system requirement specifications.– Provided estimating support as required on projects in addition to engineering functions.

– Coordinated resources and personnel to develop cost estimates and generate proposal deliverables for the East Coast region in support of annual sales goals up to $8M.– Developed control system specifications for potential modernization products ranging from $50K to $2M.Software Application Engineer | 1999 – 2001– Designed and implemented process control logic for batch and continuous control systems in the pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries.– Completed implementation and testing of Smart Graphic systems, producing process control graphics to improve operator interface ergonomics and ease of plant maintenance.Project Engineer | 1997 – 1999– Directed the engineering, manufacturing, and testing of Yokogawa distributed control systems.
