My work experience includes over 17 years in the financial sector as a client executive and manager working with large corporate customers. Before that I worked several years as manager in other private companies and as a teacher/reseracher at university level. It started with practical work in the agricultural sector in the 60-ies before I pursued an academic career in the 70-ies up to 1984. Then I joined DeLaval for 6 years and later SMR for 4 years. In 1994 I moved to banking. In spring 2012 I retired from my position as senior vice president at Large Corporates, Swedbank.Today I am vice chairman (vice preses) of the Swedish Royal Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (KSLA). In addition I am a member of the board of a few more organizations and work as a senior consultant. Previous work experience also includes position as chairman of the board of private companies in the food sector as well as other organizations and also other public assignments.My academic background covers a broad range of topics in economics and finance from accounting, multinational finance, micro- and macroeconomic theory to natural resource economics. I have a background in agriculture, a M.Sc. degree (Oper. Res.- Sys. Sci.) from Michigan State University, USA (1976) and a Ph.D. degree in Business Economics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences 1978. Spring 2012 I received a diploma as certified board member (for Swedish limited liability companies).
