Heisman Trophy winner and two-sport professional athlete. Bo completed his college degree in 1995 & has 30+ years’ experience as a successful businessman. 1992, Jackson started Bo Jackson Enterprises, Inc., which is a sports management company. 2007, Bo and John Cangelosi formed the Bo Jackson Elite Sports Complex, 88,000-sqt multi-sports dome facility in Lockport, Illinois & 2014 built a 2nd Sports Complex in Hilliard, Ohio with plans to open the 3rd in 2020. Jackson has been successful with other investments, including a food company, N'Genuity & Jackson is among a group of investors who previously owned The Burr Ridge Bank and Trust and is currently on the bank’s board of directors after the bank's merger with First Community Bank, then to Busey Trust Company. Jackson started VEJ Holdings in 2015 and is the President & CEO and created Bo Jackson Signature Foods; which has numerous brands under his private label; to include Bo's 34 Beef, Bo's Burgers, Bo's Signature Sideliners, Bo Jackson's Tailgating Packs and several other complementing products which are sold in Retail, Food Service and Direct to Consumer. In 2020, Jackson and 2 partners started Jackson & Partners, LLC as well as Jackson & Partners Restaurant Group, LLC. Both of which are affiliates of VEJ Holdings, LLC and created out of demand to expand their footprint internationally and in two additional business sectors. In Fall of 2019; Jackson started Jackson & Packaging located in Southern, Alabama. Jackson has worked with are The Children’s Miracle Network, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Marillac Foundation, United States Department of Education and the Alabama Sheriff’s Youth Ranch. Bo started Bo Jackson’s Give Me A Chance Foundation in 2008. The GMAC Foundation has been the driving force to make Bo's dream a reality. Through proper training and interactive programs, GMACF staff have positively impacted the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged children through the participation in sports and related activities and to date has raised over $2.7 million. In April 2012, after the devastating tornadoes in his home state of Alabama in 2011, Jackson started Bo Bikes Bama; which is an annual bike ride to raise money to build community storm shelters and to date the ride has raised over $1.5 million for the Governor’s Emergency Relief Fund, money that has been used to repair 585 homes, build 68 community storm shelters, and install 10 emergency early-warning sirens throughout the state.
